Liver Research is indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

We are proud to announce that Liver Research (CN 44-1725/R, P-ISSN 2096-2878, E-ISSN 2542-5684) has been indexed by the internationally renowned database Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

 

DOAJ was launched in 2003 at Lund University, Sweden, with 300 open access journals and today contains ca. 10,000 open access journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social science and humanities. DOAJ, as famous as PubMed, Science Citation Index (SCI), Scopus and the Engineering Index (EI), is recognized as one of the five literature retrieval systems. DOAJ's mission is to increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage and impact of quality, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly research journals globally, regardless of discipline, geography or language.

 

Liver Research is supervised by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Sun Yat-sen University, and co-organized by the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Guihua Chen, the honorary president of the Third Affiliated Hospital, and professor Lau Wan Yee Joseph, member of the Chinese academy of sciences, are the chief editors. Liver Research is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed English journal that publishes reviews, editorials, and original articles on a quarterly basis. Liver Research focuses on the basic and clinical research of liver and biliary tree, the translational medicine of liver diseases, and covers the latest research progress in various aspects of liver, providing an international academic exchange platform for researchers and clinicians in the field of liver diseases.

 

In March 2017, Liver Research was first published online on the ScienceDirect platform and seven issues have been published until now, including three special issues with the themes of "Bile acid metabolism and signaling in liver diseases", "Fatty liver diseases" and "Autophagy related review series". In addition, two special issues themed by "Gut-liver axis in liver diseases" and "Liver diseases and immunology" will be published in the near future. Up to November 2018, 23 articles on Liver Research have been indexed by PubMed.

 

The indexed by DOAJ means that our journal's quality and open access policies have reached international standards, and it has taken another important step in expanding the scope of our journal, increasing network visibility, becoming international and enhancing the international influence of our journal. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all the editorial board members, reviewers, authors and readers of our journal. We will continue to work hard and keep moving forward to strive to make Liver Research the top international medical journal that is welcomed and respected by peers in the field of liver disease research.
