Dr. Rong has engaged in clinical spine surgery for over 20 years. His research interests focused on minimally invasive spine surgery. He has obtained one national invention patent. Dr. Rong won the third prize in Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award.

In 1993, Dr. Wu graduated from Sun Yat-sen University ,and then stayed on to teach in the Department of Chemistry (College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering) , he has served as full-time vice chairman of the National Sun Yat-sen University, Director of the Retirement Work Department, Secretary of the retired Party Work Committee, Executive Vice Chairman of the trade union, and head of the working group on targeted poverty alleviation. She won the first prize of teaching achievement in Guangdong Province and was awarded as advanced worker and excellent worker of Guangdong Province Trade Union.

After joining the work in 1983, he has been working in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He has served as the head nurse of the obstetrics and gynecology department, the deputy head of the continuing education department, and the director of the nursing department. He has in-depth research on hospital management and hospital culture construction, and has written more than 30 papers, which have been successively funded by the Scientific Research Fund of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Guangdong Medical Science Research Fund and the Higher Education Management Research Fund of Sun Yat-sen University.

Over the years, Dr. Chong has focused on end-stage liver disease, especially for liver failure comprehensive treatment researches. Dr. Chong has conducted a series of researches on antiviral drug treatment for chronic hepatitis B. He is highly experienced in emergency treatment for severe viral hepatitis/hepatic failure and anti-viral treatment for chronic viral hepatitis.
Dr. Chong is the Chairman for Infectious Diseases Specialist of Medical Doctor Association, Branch of Guangdong Province; Honorary Chairman for Hepatitis Professional Committee of Guangdong Province Society of Liver Disease; Health Care Expert for cadre in Guangdong Province.

Dr. Wu received his Ph.D degree from the Saga University Medical School in Japan. After receiving his postdoctoral degree from Harvard Medical School, he is introduced to China by Sun Yat-sen University’s "Hundred Talents Plan". Dr. Wu is a key member of "Cheung Kong Scholars Innovation Team" of Ministry of Education in China, Chief Scientist of the national "973 Program", and project leader of the National Natural Science Foundation. He serves as the judge for the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the National Natural Science Foundation. He was invited as the expert for major administrative decision-making by the People’s Government of Guangzhou.
Dr. Wu is the editor of New Medicine journal and jounal reviewer of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Am J Gastroenterol and J Gastroenterol. He is elected to be the Deputy Head of Diagnosis and Treatment for Gastroesophageal Varices Group of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Member of Professional Standing Committee on Digestive Endoscopy Intervention of Interventional Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Member of Standing Committee on Gastroenterology Expert of the Cross-Straits Medicine Exchange Association. Since 2008, he has obtained five national invention patents and published dozens of works as the first author or corresponding author on internationally renowned academic journals, such as Nat Commun, Gut, J Clin Invest, Cell Res. He is the chief editor for two monographs and participating editor for one monograph written in English.

Dr. Wei has engaged in clinical surgery and teaching for 30 years. He mainly focused on minimally invasive surgical treatment for gastrointestinal cancer, and serves as principle investigator for over 10 research projects funded by National Natural Foundation or Ministry (provincial) project. He has won a first prize and two second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award at the provincial-ministerial level, and one of the National Science and Technology Progress Award at the provincial-departmental level. Dr. Wei obtained two national invention patents. He has published more than 80 papers in domestic and foreign journals. He is the editor of three monographs, associate editor for one monograph, and participating editor of five monographs.

Dr. Zhang has long been engaded in cancer biotherapy and clinical translational research for stem cell. In clinical practice, she is familiar with diagnosis and treatment of common liver diseases. Dr. Zhang has published more than 30 papers as the first author or corresponding author with accumulated impact factors over 120 international journals such as Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research and Cell Research etc. In 2008, she received the grant from the “New Century Excellent Talents Program” funded by the China Ministry of Education. In 2012, she received the Outstanding Youth Fund suported by the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation. At the same year, she entered the First “Thousand-Hundred-Ten Project” of Guangdng Province, a program aimed at developing academic talents, and the first “Outstanding Young Teacher Training Program” of the Sun Yat-sen Univeristy. In the past five years, three of her research projects won the grant from the National Natural Science Foundation and 10 of her research projects won varies grant at the provincial-municipal level. In total, her research projects has received near ten million RMB grants.
Dr. Zhang currently served as the Deputy Head of Transplant Basics Group of Organ Transplantation, Branch of Chinese Medical Association; Member of Experimental Surgery and Translational Medicine Group of the Chinese Medical Association; Member of Standing Committee on Precision Medicine of China Medicinal Biotech Association; Member of Professional Committee on Cell Therapy Quality Control and Research of China Quality Association for Pharmaceuticals; Vice-Chairman of Cell Therapy Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association. She is the journal editor of Organ Transplantation, Chinese Journal of Hepatic Surgery, Chinese Journal of Cell and Stem Cell etc., and the reviewer of a number of international journals, such as Cancer Letters, Plos One, and Tumor Biology.

Dr. Chen has been dedicated to the teaching and clinical services in endocrine medicine for more than 20 years. She has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of acute diseases related to endocrine and metabolic system such as diabetes and its complications, obesity, thyroid disease, etc. Dr. Chen is Corresponding editor of Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism. She has published a serious of works as first author or communication author in international renowned academic journals such as Diabetes and Diabetologia. She is the chief editor and participating editor for 4 monographs.
