Research Interest

My research focuses on estimating the severity of acute-on-chronic liver failure in hepatitis B, treatment of acute-on-chronic liver failure with hepatitis B and exploration of the mechanism of acute-on-chronic HBV liver failure.

Below is my current research topic in detail:

(1) Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure, especially on liver failure with hepatitis B and Prognostic assessment of patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure in hepatitis B; We developed a novel prognostic scoring system, calculated from six clinical indices including serum total bilirubin, prothrombin activity, serum creatinine, hepatic encephalopathy, infections, Thickness of RLL and the depth of ascites(Clin Inest Med 2012; 35 (2): E75-E85, Hepatol Int 2012; 6:727–734).

(2) Stem cells for the treatment of acute chronic liver failure research, we found that Amniotic-Fluid–

Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Overexpressing Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist Improve

Fulminant Hepatic Failure and Autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in

liver failure patients caused

3) The mechanism of Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure; end-stage liver Disease including Liver cirrhosis such as Viral hepatitis, Alcoholic liver disease and Autoimmune liver cirrhosis; As far as I am concerned , I think that Liver failure process may be undergo three fatal blow including immune damage, hypoxia ischemia and endotoxemia in turn.
