Hongzhi Yang: famous doctor of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong province, supervisor of the master-apprentice project in Guangdong province, chief physician, professor, pace-setter in scientific research, director. Serve in the 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Zhongshan University, the traditional Chinese medicine department and the acupuncture and moxibustion department of the Lingnan Hospital of Zhongshan University, the liver disease branch of key clinical specialties of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong province. Serve as , vice-chairman of Guangdong Institute of Cancer Rehabilitation, consultant of the Liver Training Project of World Health Organization in China, graduate supervisor of the liver branch of the Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine in Zhongshan University. Has accumulated rich clinical experiences during the past more than 30 years. Has hosted five key specific projects in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and 10 other provincial and departmental-level projects. Won the Technology Award of the Chinese Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. Published more than 80 papers. Served as the chief editor of two monographs including Integrated Chinese-Western Therapy of the Liver Diseases and other Related Diseases and the associate editor of three monographs. Took the lead in carrying out research on the nature medicine and naturopathy in China.

Major Research Directions

The research on the clinical prevention and treatment of the liver disease with the combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, as well as the research on the nature medicine, the quantum medicine and the naturopathy. Took the lead in carrying out research of nature medicine and naturopathy among the domestic academic institutions and established two academic platforms and clinic platforms. Developed more than 20 projects including the techniques, standards, plans, and paths of the nature medicine, the quantum medicine and the naturopathy. Declared three patents and accumulated a large amount of clinical experiences in chronic liver disease, tumor, metabolic diseases, and painful diseases, which was highly praised by the patients.

Gave dozens of lectures about teaching of nature medicine in the nationwide medical institutions and the enterprises in the big health industry in recent years. The medical institutions and the enterprises are mainly located at Fujian province, Xian, Guangxi province, Shenzhen, Foshan, Shunde, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Yangjiang,and Heyuan. Currently, the naturopathy has been applied in more than 20 medical institutions covering Fujian province, Xian, Guangxi province, Shenzhen, Shunde, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Yangjiang, Heyuan, and other dozens of areas. The ideas of nature medicine is gradually popularized and enjoy popular support. The practicability of naturopathy on the treatment of chronic diseases is recognized by the general physicians and therapists who are racing to learn it.

Mainly engage in the research on the clinical prevention and treatment of the liver disease with the combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, as well as the research on the nature medicine, the quantum medicine and the naturopathy. Be good at using the classical prescriptions and the naturopathy to treat the viral hepatitis with antiviral herbs, the chronic severe hepatitis, the liver fibrosis, the liver cirrhosis, the liver cancer, postoperation of the tumors in digestive tract, pancreatic, bile, stomach and tumors, lung tumor surgery, metabolic syndrome, pain disorder, infectious disease, physical rehabilitation, low immunity, peritonitis, gastroenteritis, cholecystitis, alcoholic liver disease, drug-induced liver disease, calculus, obesity, fatty liver, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis, hypertension, blood symptom with high AFP; and difficult and complicated diseases including fever, chills, sweating, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, jaundice, abdominal distension and pain, vomiting, bad look, emaciation, enclosed mass, edema, hypotension and infertility. Achievements

Got a patent, declared three patents, published more than 80 professional papers. The complete series of clinical research on the TCM treatment of hepatitis and liver won the third prize of the Technology Achievement Award of the Chinese Institution of integrated Chinese and Western medicines. Among the studies, the study on the long-term curative effect of treating the liver fibrosis through tonifying kidney and qi,  soothing the liver, cooling blood, activating blood and detoxifying has won the first prize of the International Academy Award for the World Traditional Medicine in the Fourth World Traditional Medicine Association
